Dandelion root has been used throughout history by everyone from the Ancient Romans and Anglo Saxons to the Egyptians.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dandelion root (pu gong ying) is used to treat stomach and liver conditions. It is also used in Native American medicine, as a tonic for digestion problems, skin ailments, inflammation, liver injury, kidney disease and heartburn.
Dandelion root extract is loaded with vitamins A, C, D, K, E and B complex vitamins. It also contains fibre, potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc and phosphorus.
Inulin -Dandelion is rich in the carbohydrate inulin, a type of soluble fibre that supports the growth of healthy bacteria in the intestinal tract.
Beta-carotene -Dandelion contains beta-carotene, a powerful antioxidant that our body converts to Vitamin A.
Fibre -Like many plants, Dandelions are rich in fibre, which is great for lowering the risk of heart disease, strokes, type 2 diabetes and bowel cancer. Eating fibre can also make you feel fuller, aid digestion and prevent constipation.
We wild harvest our Dandelion roots from Central China and have them milled into a fine powder for your convenience.
100% Wild Harvested Dandelion Root Powder (finely milled)
We recommend taking 1/2 tsp of Dandelion Root Powder daily and adding it to water or juice. You can also make a dandelion root tea by adding hot water. Alternatively, blend Dandelion root extract powder into your favourite smoothie to boost its nutritional value.
